Caring Your Skin To Prevent Signs Of Ageing

In these days of high quality skin-care products, taking care of your skin is not a time consuming or expensive process. These skin care products are available in all drugstores and for all skin types namely normal, oily and dry.  The basic skin care includes cleansing, toning, moisturizing and exfoliating. Cleansing is the main and basic part of skin care.  Cleansing removes dirt, pollution and make up. Cleanse your skin daily in the morning and before going to bed. Avoid harsh cleansers. For example: Strong detergents like sodium lauryl sulfate, soap, and alcohol strip the moisture barrier from the skin’s surface, leaving it vulnerable to irritation and damage. If your skin is oily it is necessary to use a toner or astringent. For oily skin, you do not need an additional moisturizer. But if you are having dry skin, you require a moisturizer. Moisturizer can prevent wrinkles and lines on your skin.

The skin is continuously regenerating its cells and shedding dead cells.  Exfoliating speeds up the process. There are two types in exfoliating; physical and chemical. Physical exfoliating includes using a grainy facial scrub. Do not treat the skin too rough while exfoliating. Chemical exfoliating includes using Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) or Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) to loosen and remove dead skin cells. The skin needs a variety of vitamins to nourish it. For example retinol, a derivative of vitamin A improves skin tone, treats wrinkles. Vitamin C improves complexion. Many products containing vitamin K are used to treat dark circles. Taking care of your skin is the best way to avoid the signs of ageing. Drinking plenty of water and having a good sleep are also necessary.
